Albemarle store clerk robbed at knife point

A clerk at an Albemarle Family dollar was robbed at knife point, according to the Albemarle Police Department.

Police were told that just before 7:00 p.m., a skinny, tall black man wearing all black walked inside of the store, went around the sales counter while the clerk was checking another customer out and demanded money from the register.

The man held a knife to the clerk's back and made them open the cash register. Once the register was opened, the man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery. Police are still working to obtain surveillance video.
