A video that questions whether or not natural hair is professional enough for the workplace is getting a lot of attention on Facebook, with thousands of shares and comments.
News Anchor Angela Green, in Greenville, North Carolina posted a video on her Facebook page explaining that big, curly hair is in style, especially among African-American women. But an intern at Green's TV station, WNCT, was told to straighten her hear before completing a work assignment that involved on-camera work.
Green mentioned she also has naturally curly hair, but wears it straight for work. She asked her Facebook fans if naturally curly hair is appropriate in the workplace, or if people, particularly those in the TV business, should continue to straighten their hair.
