Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested a man after he was caught on camera lighting another man's car on fire while it was parked in his driveway in west Charlotte.

The suspect, identified as Jackson Brooks, 21, is charged with felony burning personal property.

Seth Headley posted video and photos of his torched Corvette on Facebook Wednesday morning.

According to Headley, a man, now identified as Brooks, was seen wearing what appeared to be a bullet proof vest and carrying a gun outside his west Charlotte home.

"He didn't care he was seen, he took his time," Headley said.

Brooks can be seen on camera lighting the car cover of Headley's Corvette on fire. After he finished with the car, Headley said Brooks attempted to light his Pride flag on fire.

Brooks was taken into custody Thursday, April 19 at 2:52 a.m. He was being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail on an unsecured $5,000 bond.
