Rowan County officers have arrested three men in connection to multiple thefts in Salisbury.

40-year-old Eric Clawson of Duke Drive, 31-year-old Tyson Gaymon of Hawkintown Road and 30-year-old Joshua Cook of Birchwood Drive were arrested in connection to these crimes. The fourth suspect, 38-year-old Jonathan Murray of Duke Drive is still at large and wanted by police for possession of stolen property.

In October 2018 Rowan County Sheriffs Office opened an investigation into a break-in that occurred on Duke Drive in Salisbury. Several more residential and business break-ins were reported throughout the month in the area of Peeler Road and Old Concord Road.

A used car dealership, repair shop, and maintenance shop at Southeast Middle School were amongst the businesses affected. Six residential homes on Duke Drive, Ted Lane, Garden Lane and Peeler Road were also broken into.

Through the execution of a search warrant, stolen property was recovered from the suspects' location at Duke Drive and West Park Drive in Rockwell. A stolen car was recovered from Gold Hill Drive in Salisbury and returned to the used car dealership in Correll Park. Other recovered items were returned to owners.

The three suspects were charged with several counts of breaking, entering and larceny as well as possession of stolen property and are now being held on bond. A warrant is still out for the arrest of Jonathan Murray. Any information about Jonathan Murray’s whereabouts can be reported to Lt. C. Moose (704)216-8687 or Detective Nate Phillips at (704)216-8700.
