Bank of America 500 postponed to Sunday

The Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been postponed to Sunday due to rain from Hurricane Matthew, according to NASCAR officials.

The decision was made after rain pelted the track and surrounding area all day Saturday as the outer bands of Hurricane Matthew made their way through, reported.

Saturday's race, which was originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m., will start at noon Sunday.

Sunday's Drive for the Cure 300 will then start 45 minutes following the Bank of America 500.
