Belmont business burns to ground in early morning fire

An early morning fire leaves a Belmont business burned to the ground.

The owner, David Marrow says things had recently turned around for his decades-old company, but without insurance, the future looks grim.

Automated Card Feeding is a furniture textile company, part of a business Marrow's grandfather built decades before.

"I'm third generation, looks like I may be the last," Marrow said.

Amid a tough economy Marrow had ditched insurance, "I was trying to survive," Marrow said.

"In the last 6 months maybe, my business had picked back up, so I was coming back, matter fact it was coming back strong," Marrow said.

But with this blow, the future is far from clear. Marrow says he is relying on his faith and hope for good fortune to rebuild.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause.
