Benedict Cumberbatch on playing Bond: It would be fun

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch says the idea of playing the iconic James Bond character would be fun - - but he does not think he would be picked for the role.

"I don't think they'd consider me for Bond," Cumberbatch told a reporter outside the UK premiere for his new film, Black Mass. He added: "I can wear a suit and I can fight. I can raise my eyebrow - but that's not what it takes to play Bond. They might want to go in a different direction. Who knows. Would be fun though."

The speculation about who might be the next actor to play Bond comes after current Bond actor, Daniel Craig, told a magazine he would rather "slash my wrists" before playing Bond again.

Spectre, Craig's fourth movie as Bond, opens November 6.
