CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A bicyclist had to be taken to the hospital after police say he was struck by a vehicle Monday morning.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the bicyclist was on Tryon Street when he was hit and went into the intersection at Harris Blvd. The cyclist was taken to Carolinas Medical Center- Main with life-threatening injuries.
All three lanes of N. Tryon Street heading south were closed along with all westbound traffic on Harris Blvd. as police worked the scene. All lanes have since reopened.
