Carolina Panthers show their giving spirit

Christmas is just a few days away and the Carolina Panthers are in a giving mood.

Players took time out Tuesday to go into the community.

Thomas Davis and other players gave away nearly 300 toys Tuesday night.

Kicker Graham Gano spent time with patients at Levine Children's Hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Gano has pledged to donate $250 to the hospital for every made field goal this season. A donor has also pledged to match Gano’s donations, dollar for dollar. More than $6,000 has been raised so far.

"We have won all of the games. With that comes a lot of field goals,” said Gano.

Thomas Davis and his teammates gave out nearly 300 toys at Southside Homes housing authority Tuesday night.

"Guys are doing these things because they care about the community. They want to make a difference. They want to have a positive impact. That's the reason why we step forward and go out and do the things that we do,” Davis said.
