Officials have determined that a Sunday two-alarm fire at a Charlotte apartment complex was set intentionally.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A fire that erupted at an apartment complex on Sunday was intentionally set, according to authorities.
The Charlotte Fire Department responded to calls at 2100 Prospect Drive in north east Charlotte regarding a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex.
Firefighters took control of the blaze within 40 minutes and no injuries were reported.
The fire was immediately under investigation and later in the day it was determined that the fire was intentionally set, officials said. Damage is estimated at $75,000.
This remains an open and ongoing investigation.
