CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - An arrest has been made in relation to a house fire nearby Newberry Park Lane that occured earlier this month, according to authorities.
On Monday Donald Waddy, 61, was taken into custody by CMPD and is accused of starting the fire, which caused major house damage.
Waddy threw an explosive device at the home which ignited the fire, police say.
It is unclear what the motive was.
Waddy is being charged with first and second degree arson and malicious property damage and use of an explosive device.
