CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - UPDATE: Thomas Barnette has been found safe.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 57-year-old man who has been missing for about five days.
Thomas Barnette left his home on Russell Avenue on Friday, March 22 and has not been seen since.
Barnette is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dress shirt and blue jeans.
Family said Barnette usually travels on foot to locations in and around the Bittleville/Beatties Ford Rd. neighborhoods.
Barnette was last seen in the Charlotte area but he may be traveling to Kannapolis, police said.
