Cheerleading team uses 9/11 reports to pay tribute

A Cheerleading team's routine has caught the eye of many after honoring the anniversary of 9/11.

The cheerleaders at Lumberton High performed a routine Friday using audio of reports from the day the towers fell, Buzzfeed reports.

A student from Lumberton posted the video to her Facebook and so far it has received 24,517,655 views and 792,852 shares.

The video shows the cheerleaders doing an array of stunts and tumbling. They end the performance holding up an American flag and spelling out U.S.A with their pom poms.

The coach of the team told BuzzFeed News that the school's cheerleading team has performed a 9/11 tribute routine every year since 2002.
