Cherryville woman struck, killed by dump truck

A Gaston County woman has died after being struck by a dump truck making a delivery at her home Monday, according to the Gaston County Police Department.

Around 10:30a, Betty Still, 79, was struck by the truck, owned by Grover, North Carolina-based Kerns Trucking, police said. The truck was delivering gravel to Still's Sellerstown Road home near Cherryville.

The Gaston County Police Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-866-3320.
