Child hit in Salisbury drive-by shooting

A child is recovering Tuesday night after being shot during a drive-by shooting. 

Salisbury police said it was one of two shootings that happened within an hour. The first shooting occurred at 6:30 p.m. on East Fisher Street. 

The child was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

One juvenile is in custody after being found with a firearm, however police said that person is not the official suspect in this incident. 

A second shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on North Long Street. 

Police said shots were fired into a car but thankfully no injuries have been reported.
