Church organist plays "NFL on FOX" theme song during service to support the Panthers

An organist at a local church played the "NFL on FOX" theme song on Sunday to a large crowd. He is now getting a lot of attention.

Robert Ridgell has been improvising music since he was 11.

"One of the great things about being an organist is that sometimes we put things in there to wake people up on a Sunday morning and to get people excited," Ridgell said.

Ridgell plays the organ at Christ Church's Sunday service. He decided to add a little Panthers pride to his usual routine.

He says he wanted to get the congregation pumped up right before the NFC Championship game.

He considers himself a huge Panthers fan and believes supporting the home team in a church setting brings the community together.

"Father son and holy spirit. Everyone loves it," Ridgell said.

Ridgell shared a live stream of his performance online and it has more than 1,000 views.

Ridgell is now trying to figure out what to play the day of the Super Bowl.
