CityLYNX Gold service delayed after driver hits shelter

A woman has been arrested after police said she struck the light rail's trolley shelter early Monday morning, delaying the CityLYNX Gold Line service.

Carmel Woodard, 25, is charged with hit-and-run following the wreck.

CATS said their Gold Line service, which normally starts at 6 a.m., was delayed after Woodard's vehicle struck a shelter at Trade and Davidson. Both tracks were blocked.

CATS was assessing the situation to determine when service would start.

"We apologize for the inconvenience," they said.
