Clover police officer arrested for domestic violence

An officer with the Clover Police Department was arrested for allegedly beating his wife, according to the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED). 

On March 28, warrants were issued for the arrest of Ronnie A. Snelson on two counts of domestic violence in the third degree. 

Reports say on Nov. 26, 2017 Snelson pushed and held his wife down on the couch of their York County home, hit her and kicked her. Her injuries were documented in photographs. 

Snelson was arrested and has since been released on bond. No other information is available at this time.
