CMPD arrests suspect involved in string of armed robberies

Detectives with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested and charged a man involved in a string of armed robberies that happened back in August. 

Detectives have arrested and charged Brandon Taylor Johnson for the robberies that happened on Wednesday, August 19, at the 7-Eleven, County Inn and Suites and Exxon Gas Station. Detectives located and arrested Johnson earlier Monday. He confessed to the robberies as well as a robbery from a business that occurred on Monday, August 24, at the Circle K off Monroe Road. 

Johnson was charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. CMPD says additional charged are pending against Johnson.
