CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Authorities have identified a body that was discovered early Sunday morning nearby the Arboretum.
Jonathan Holt Whitlow, 24, was found dead at 3:38 a.m. Sunday, March 31 near the 3900 block of Bon-Rea Drive. Andrew Houston, 21, has been charged for his involvement in this case.
It initially was unclear if the case was a homicide or a drug overdose but after an investigation it was determined to be a homicide case.
Officers had responded to a complaint about a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers witnessed a man, later identified as Houston, fleeing on foot and a brief foot chase ensued. Houston had taken drugs and was hallucinating, according to the police report.
