CMPD: Officers searching for suspect who shot 2 employees at restaurant

Police are searching for a man they say shot two employees and attempted to rob a restaurant in north Charlotte Tuesday night. It all happened at the U.S. Fried Chicken in the Derita Plaza off West Sugar Creek. We spoke to one of the employees who was shot in the arm, after he tells us the suspect pointed a gun at him, and demanded money from the safe.

The victim tells Fox46 that he didn’t know how to get the money out of the safe. That’s when he said the suspect shot him and the arm and another employee in the leg, and ran.

Police are looking for the suspect. If you know anything about this case, you’re asked to call crimestoppers.
