CMPD: two arrested in string of armed robberies

Arrested: Davonte Dimitrick Louis & Lauren Chanelle Graeber

31-year-old Davonte Dimitrick Louis and 27-year-old Lauren Chanelle Graeber were arrested Tuesday morning and charged in a string of armed robberies.

Mr. Louis and Ms. Graeber were involved in the January 7, Kangaroo Express robbery off Harris Station Boulevard, January 17, Kangaroo Express robbery off North Tyron Street, and the January 20, Extended Stay America robbery off University Executive Park Dr.

The Real Time Crime Center spotted the suspect's car Tuesday morning and contacted the North Tyron Division.

Officers found the car Tuesday morning and issued a traffic stop on Eastway Drive. Mr. Louis and Ms. Graeber were taken to police headquarters and interviewed.

According to CMPD Mr. Louis was charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, 2nd degree Kidnapping and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Ms. Graeber was charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Cocaine. Both subjects were then transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
