CMS and local charter school come to agreement

The ongoing battle between CMS and a local charter school is over.

VERITAS says its come to an agreement with CMS to use a different facility near Villa Heights.

The charter school will now have a five-year lease at the Old Tryon Hills Elementary.

The news comes just a day after it withdrew its request to have a hearing before county commisoners.

VERITAS was at odds with CMS after they terminated an agreement for the charter school to use the Old Villa Heights Elementary School, a building that they had already put time and money into repairing.

CMS said they needed it back to use for its own students.
