CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Monday will be windy for parts of the viewing area as a cold front swings through the Carolinas.
A wind advisory is in effect for Watauga and Ashe Counties from 11 a.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
We anticipate sustained winds of 15 to 25 with gusts of up to 50 mph. Weak trees and tree limbs may be blown down and possibly cause scattered power outages as well.
Those gusty winds could also make travel difficult for high profile vehicles.
There is also a lake wind advisory for Lancaster and Chesterfield Counties in South Carolina from 10 a.m. until midnight.
Gusts of wind of up to 30 knots will cause rough chop on area lakes.
