Concord murder suspect located outside cold, disoriented

UPDATE:  January 7, 2018 - Patrick O' Sullivan remains at Northeast Medical Center in Concord receiving treatment for weather related issues he sustained before his apprehension.  It is unknown how long his treatment will take, according to Concord Police.


A Concord man wanted for allegedly killing his wife, a paramedic with Mecklenburg EMS, was arrested early Saturday morning according to police. 

The Concord Police say that the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office received a call around 8:30 am to check the area of Flowes Store Rd. & Piney Church Rd. for a man who seemed to be distressed & disoriented from being outside in the cold. 

When deputies arrived, they located a male outside near a wooded area and identified him as Patrick O'Sullivan. He was taken into custody without incident. O'Sullivan was treated by paramedics and transported to CMC-Northeast, for weather related issues. 

Investigators and a K-9 deputy responded to the wooded area where O'Sullivan was located to conduct a search. During the search, a handgun was located and seized. 

Fox 46 Charlotte has checked the Cabarrus County Jail records, and at the time of this report, O'Sullivan has yet to be booked in at the facility. We will update this story once he is booked.
