Supporters of the Confederate flag took to the streets of Union County on Saturday morning.
A rally was organized not just in support of the flag, but monuments and Confederate heritage. Dozens showed up in support and purchased "Heritage Not Hate" tee shirts.
The event organizer said he is trying to raise money to, hopefully, purchase cameras to be placed outside of the Old Courthouse in Downtown Monroe where two Confederate monuments sit.
This comes after a number of monuments have been vandalized across the Carolinas in recent weeks by some who feel the symbol represents slavery and racism.
The group that organized Saturday's event was not affiliated with any one particular group.
