Coroner releases cause of death of USC student Samantha Josephson

Nathaniel Rowland, 25, has been charged with the alleged murder of Samantha Josephson, 21, who was found dead Saturday after last being seen getting into a car outside a South Carolina bar.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) -- The Clarendon County Coroner’s Office has released the cause of death of 21-year-old USC student Samantha Josephson.

Josephson died due to multiple sharp force injuries, according to Coroner Bucky Mock

Josephson’s body was found late Friday afternoon on a dirt road in Clarendon County, about 65 miles away from Columbia.

Nathaniel Roland, 24, has been charged with Josephson’s death.

Josephson was last seen early Friday morning getting into a black Chevy Impala thinking it was an Uber, according to Columbia Police.
