Two people have been taken into custody after law enforcement found they were operating an active meth lab in their home, according to Burke County Sheriff's Office.

On November 15, investigators with the Burke County Narcotics Task Force were assisting Probation and Parole with serving warrants on Jason Robert Ford and Desare Nicole Jiron at their residence on Jenkins Road in Morganton.

According to officials, the pair had previously tested positive for methamphetamine when they met with their probation officers.

While at the residence, officers said they observed an active meth lab and immediately escorted everyone inside out of the home.

Ford and Jiron were arrested and placed in the Burke Catawba District Confinement Facility.
