A Monroe, NC teenager who went missing Saturday afternoon has been found, according to her father.
Cheyenne Sides, 14, the daughter of Union County Board of Education member Gary Sides, was found in Wilkes County Monday afternoon. She was last seen Saturday afternoon riding her medium sized blue bike out of her Monroe neighborhood. She does not have a cell phone.
Chief Deputy David Carson with the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office confirmed Monroe police called them and asked for help in finding Cheyenne. Deputies checked a few locations where they thought she may be, but so far have not been able to find her.
Gary Sides posted on his Facebook page that a couple paid for a cab ride for Cheyenne to go from Monroe to Wilkes County. He believes she's looking for her grandmother in Wilkes County, but her grandmother no longer lives in the area.
Cheyenne Sides is five feet tall, and weighs 100 pounds. She was wearing shorts, a teal shirt and a gray hoodie. Cheyenne Sides wears glasses and has braces. Monroe Police ask anyone that may have information on her whereabouts to call 704-282-4700.
