Deputies arrest 7 in $1M drug bust in Iredell

Deputies in Iredell County say they've just broken up a million dollar meth ring.

Officials tell Fox 46 a two month long investigation has multiple suspects in custody Friday.

Two different residents in Statesville were raided where vice agents found six pounds of crystal methamphetamine with a purity of over 95 percent.

Deputies say the investigation started when information indicated Eric Germaine Summers was selling meth. As the investigation continued suppliers of the meth were identified and surveillance operations on these individuals were conducted, according to officials.

Investigators found out the suppliers were transporting meth to other surrounding counties.

On Friday, October 30, two search warrants were served to Russel Street and South Green Street. Investigators took five Hispanic suspects; Jose Duenas-Intriago, Carlos Antonio Flores-Cano, Juan Ernesto Ortiz Rodriguez, Rigoberto Portillo-Ramirez, and Jario Leonel Vasques-Espinosa into custody and seized drugs, US Currency and numerous items of evidence. 

Jesus Cristino Perales was taken into custody on November 2, 2015 and Eric Summers was arrested on Thursday, November 19.

According to authorities, five suspects are in federal custody with no bond, two suspects are still in custody in the Iredell County Detention Center under $25,000 bond. One federal and one state suspect have immigration detainers.
