Driver, woman identified in fatal hit-and-run, carjacking in Rock Hill

Warrants: Gilverto Josue Corniel and Jaye Kistler 

Rock Hill police have identified the driver who killed a motorcyclist and stole another car in Rock Hill on Saturday. 

24-year-old Gilverto Josue Corniel has an active warrants with Rock Hill PD for leaving the scene of accident resulting in death. 

Investigators also have active warrants for Victoria Jaye Kistler for obstruction of justice in connection with this case. 

Investigators are working to locate the two, the investigation is ongoing.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12 on Heckle Boulevard at the intersection of Russell Street. 

Corniel was driving a black Chrysler 300 with a paper tag on Russell St., ran the stop sign, struck a motorcycle in the intersection and continued up an embankment crashing into a wood line. 

The motorcyclist was ejected and died at the scene. The motorcyclist has been identified as Joshua Moore, 21, of Rock Hill. 

Corniel fled the scene on foot and a short time later, carjacked a car on Oates Street and drove off. 

The carjacked vehicle can be described as a 2000 White Jeep Cherokee, square body style with a North Carolina tag of EAZ7956. Corniel is described as a light skinned black male, over the age of 20 with curly hair. He was last seen wearing a burgandy top, black pants and no shoes. 

Anyone with information on the car or suspect is asked to contact 9-1-1 (police) immediately. 

Heckle Blvd between Saluda and Haynes Streets will be closed until the accident reconstruction team has completed their investigation.
