Early Voting begins for Charlotte Primary Races

Early voting has begun for the primary for Charlotte mayor and some city council seats. Voting began at CPCC Facility Services (1325 East 7th Street) September 3rd. Several other locations will open September 8th at 10 a.m. 

The September 8th locations include:

  • Beatties Ford Road Library
  • Independence Regional Library
  • Main Branch Library
  • Morrison Regional Library
  • South County Regional Library
  • Steele Creek Library
  • University City Regional Library
  • West Boulevard Library

Voting booths will be open from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. September 3rd and 4th. After Labor Day, the CPCC location will be open from 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. daily, and the library sites will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. On the final day of early voting, September 12, all voting sites will be open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. 

September 15th is primary election day. All precincts will be open from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Once the Democratic and Republican nominees have been chosen for various offices, the General Election will be held on November 3.
