Fire damages Salisbury home overnight; family pets perish

An overnight fire heavily damaged a Salisbury home and killed two family pets, according to the Salisbury Fire Department. 

The fire broke out around 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 at a single-story house located at 525 Grove Street. 

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly. The Red Cross is assisting a family of two. One dog and one cat tragically died in the fire, they said. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
