HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A massive fire broke out at a Huntersville home on Christmas day, killing a dog.
The Huntersville Fire Department responded to the house in the 11000 block of Everette Keith Rd. around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, they saw a heavy fire had engulfed the home. Crews were able to control the blaze after a short time, but there was extensive damage to the house.
A firefighter was injured while working the scene, and a dog died in the flames. No residents were injured, but the home was deemed a total loss.
