Former Chesterfield Co. deputy charged with misconduct in office involving prostitutes

A former Chesterfield County deputy has been arrested after allegedly paid for sex with prostitutes while he was on the job.

David Rainwater has been charged with misconduct in office, according to police.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) says between December 2014 and August 2015 he had sex with prostitutes numerous times in Chesterfield County while he was on the job as a deputy.

According to the police report, Rainwater admitted to the allegations. He was booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center and faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
