Four suspects arrested in south Charlotte bank robbery

Four men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at the Wells Fargo on Park Road in south Charlotte that led to a police chase.

Anthony Woods, Jarrett Edwards, Ronald Hargette and Anthony Bost have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Hargette has also been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

The robbery happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the men entered the bank, assaulted an employee and stole money. The suspects left the bank in a white Honda then switched to a gray Ford Fusion, according to police.

The employee assaulted was transported by Medic with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle refused to stop and a chase ensued. The driver hit another vehicle and their vehicle became disable, according to police.

The driver was detained by police and the other suspect who fled on foot was found by a K-9 unit.
