GASTON COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A warming shelter has been opened in Gastonia in a joint effort by the Gaston County Police Department, Gaston County Manager’s Office and the American Red Cross.
The warming shelter will be located at 420 W. Franklin Boulevard in the Community Room of the Gaston County Police Department. Those in need will be welcomed at this location, police said.
The department is just west of the corner of US 321 and Franklin Boulevard and the shelter is scheduled to be open until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18.
