Gastonia bus driver pleads guilty in overturned school bus crash

A school bus driver responsible for a crash that injured several students entered a guilty plea in court Tuesday.

The Gaston Gazette is reporting that Annette Phillips pleaded guilty to reckless driving for her role in the January accident.

The school bus Phillips was driving overturned on Chapel Grove Rd. near Gastonia with 45 Southwest Middle School students on board. 15 of those students wound up being taken to Kings Mountain Hospital.

Phillips was sentenced to 18  months of unsupervised probation.
