Gastonia man facing several charges after robbing QT

A Gaston County man is facing numerous charges after authorities say he robbed a Quik Trip convenience store in Gastonia on Friday.

According to a Gastonia Police incident report, Robert Charles Barnett, 61, robbed the QT on E. Long Ave. in Gastonia Friday around 9:20 pm.  Police say he was armed with a brown handled pocket knife. 

Barnett is facing several charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, trespassing, failure to comply, and 3 counts of failure to appear. His bond related to the robbery is $32,000. He was denied bond for the unrelated failure to appear charges.
