Gastonia restaurant owner arrested on child pornography charges

The owner of a Mexican restaurant in Gastonia is now facing child pornography charges.

Police say Gustavo Carvajal-Hernandez was sharing inappropriate videos of girls as young as six years old with undercover detectives.

Carvajal-Hernandez was booked into the Gaston County Detention Center just after 2:45 p.m. on March 24. The restaurant owned at 1101 Union Road, "Guacamole's,” is now closed. 

He is charged with two felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree, and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
