A Gastonia man has been arrested for multiple counts of shoplifting and providing false information to police.

Gastonia Police say Bobby Neal Foster, 45, was caught at a Belk Department Store on New Hope Rd. in Gastonia Friday morning with four pairs of Ralph Lauren shoes, valued at $100 each. Foster has been convicted at least four other times for shoplifting.

Before Foster was caught at Belk Department Store, police say he also shoplifted multiple toiletry items from Ollie's on E. Franklin Blvd.

Officers say they also seized a glass crack pipe from Foster and that he provided false information about his identity.

He was charged with two counts of felony habitual shoplifting and giving false information. He is currently being held at the Gaston County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond.

An accomplice, Jennifer Walls, 43, was also arrested for theft and driving while license revoked. She was waiting in a get away car in the parking lot. She was booked at the Gaston County Detention Center.
