Have you accepted the #CLTSnowAngelChallenge?

For the first time in what seems like forever, Charlotte is experiencing a "sizable" amount of snow (for all you northerners, we get it. It's not that much snow. But we're not in north, we're in the south).

Schools have closed their doors, leaving kids young and old to stay warm in doors or brave the outside world for a little sled time. Your kids aren't the only ones having a little fun in the snow. App users click here.

Mayor Vi Lyles and the City of Charlotte have issued an "official" #CLTSnowAngelChallenge. It all started with the mayor posting video to Twitter of her granddaughter making, you guessed it, a snow angel. That quickly snowballed (see what we did there) and now Charlotteans are accepting the challenge.

Lyles herself even got in on the fun, posting her own snow angel video with the caption, "Can't let my granddaughter upstage me @CLTgov! #CLTSnowAngelChallenge #CLTwx."

One of the many accepting the #CLTSnowAngelChallenge, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. They responded to Lyles on Twitter, "we found a #CMPD officer willing to join in the fun. For some reason, he asked that we not share his name. But we promise this is the real thing! #CLTSnowAngelChallenge #snowday #CLTwx."

While we may not know the officer's name, we do know that he was a little braver than most. He opted to make his snow angel with no coat and short sleeves (we can hear his mother now).

Have you accepted the #CLTSnowAngelChallenge? It's easy, just take a video of yourself making a snow angel and post it to Twitter using the hashtag. Don't forget to tag @FOX46News so that we can feature your video on-air!
