CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - The Nutcracker ballet is a Christmas classic. But if you want to experience it with a dance and cirque twist, Good Day Charlotte knows just the place.
In this edition of “Kosir’s Korner” Nick Kosir visited Caroline Calouche and Company to see what it takes to be a part of the big show.
Executive Director Caroline Calouche says, “In a Cirque du Soleil show they hire dancers to dance and acrobats to do acrobatics. Here we have the skills to do everything.”
According to Performer Marcia Fresquez, the best part about being in the show is “Just being with your friends performing. This is a completely judgment-free zone so if you don’t get a new routine right on the first try it’s not embarrassing.”
Caroline Calouche and Company will be performing “Clara’s Trip – A Cirque and Dance Nutcracker Story” December 7th through the 9th at the Booth Playhouse.
