Lincoln County man disappears after visiting friend, deputies still searching for him

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office is asking for help finding a missing man who hasn’t been seen for a month.

Edward Clifford Garrett, 29, borrowed a car from a neighbor in Cherryville over the weekend of Aug. 25.

He then went to western Lincoln County to visit a friend. Deputies were told that he left the house heading back home to Cherryville, but never arrived.

He was last seen at the residence in the 200 block of Hwy 274 early Sunday morning, Aug. 26.

The car was later found unoccupied and parked on the side of the road on Dave Heafner Rd. in Crouse on Monday, Aug. 27.

Garrett is described as a white male, 5’6” inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Garrett has a Superman tattoo on his right arm and a Tasmanian devil tattoo on his left arm.
