Lowell Police hope new video helps find suspects in violent armed robbery

Lowell Police say they have gotten a few tips in an armed robbery at the Lowell Mini Mart on McAdenville Road Sunday night. Now, they hope additional video of the suspects will lead to an arrest.
 
The new video from across the street of the Lowell Mini Mart. sows two suspects inside another convenience store, scoping out the business.
 
Police say the man in a tan jacket is limping, because his gun is hidden under his clothes, A man in the red shirt is believed to be the getaway driver. Both suspects are at one point seen peeking around the corner of a hallway. Police believe they may have been targeting the store, but left because too many customers were inside.

"I would call them brave. They seem like they don't care," said Lowell Police Captain Carl Moore, when describing the suspects.
 
The City of Lowell has a small town feel with a population of around 3,500 people.
 
"It's kinda like being in a small town, everyone is like family you know," said Captain Moore.
 
The Lowell Police Department has made it their top priority to put both of the suspects behind bars.
 
"It's personal. We wanna catch him before he does this to anyone else," said Captain Moore.
 
The suspects violent attack at the Lowell Mini Mart happened just minutes after being captured on camera at the convenience store across the street.
 
Both stores are just off I-85 and are nearly always busy with out of town customers, locals and even Lowell Police officers.
 
"There happened to be an officer here maybe about 10 or 15 minutes before this happened. He had just left. He was really upset when he came in," said the Clerk who was inside the store during the robbery.
 
The clerk is still upset herself that her 4-year-old grandson was inside and a witness to the robbery.

Multiple police departments in Gaston County are helping with this case because there were two similar incidents in Gastonia and Belmont on Saturday and the getaway car was carjacked from someone over the weekend.
