Man arrested for a second time for selling heroin in Iredell County

A Statesville man has been arrested again for selling heroin, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. 

Brady Scott Mitchell, 36, is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, felony maintain a dwelling/vehicle or place to sell controlled substance. 

The sheriff's office said Mitchell was arrested following a month-long investigation into the sale of heroin in eastern Iredell County. Investigators had received information from community members that Mitchell was selling heroin. It was not the first time Mitchell had been arrested for selling drugs. 

In 2017, narcotics detectives observed Mitchell selling heroin and purchasing heroin at a residence located at 179 Jeremy Lane. A search warrant was executed at the home, and Mitchell was arrested and found to be in possession of heroin and a firearm. 

On Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, detectives along with members of the Iredell County Sheriff's Office SERT conducted another search warrant at the same home, and again location heroin and other drug paraphernalia. 

At the time of the search warrant, Mitchell was not home. Investigators obtained arrest warrants and were able to arrest Mitchell a short time later. He was placed under a $20,000 bond.
