Man charged with attempted murder in NE Charlotte shooting

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a northeast Charlotte shooting that sent one person to the hospital. 

Tarian Ramsey, 21, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury. 

Officers were called to Beechway Circle at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 for reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, police located a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to CMC with life-threatening injuries. 

During the investigation, CMPD officers determined that the victim was shot in the 4400 block of N Tryon Street in a parking lot and ran to Beechway for help. 

This investigation remains ongoing.
