Man charged with murder in deadly March shooting

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have made an arrest in connection to the shooting death of a Charlotte man back in March. 

Jamarr Trantwan James, 26, has been charged with the murder of 37-year-old Damien Rashad Mack. 

CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested James on Wednesday without incident. James was interviewed by detectives before being charged and taken to Mecklenburg County Jail. 

Mack was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound in the 4100 block of Atmore Street at 6:21 a.m. Wednesday, March 7.
