CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A pedestrian was hit by a car in east Charlotte, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.
The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Police tell FOX 46 a man was hit at E W.T. Harris Blvd. just before Hickory Grove Rd. and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The victim was not walking at a marked crosswalk, according to police.
The woman driving the car that hit him stayed on scene and pulled into a nearby gas station. She is being questioned by police.
E WT Harris Blvd. just before Hickory Grove is currently closed down. Northbound E. WT Harris Blvd. is down to one lane. Drivers are being diverted to Kimmerly Glen Ln.
