Man turns self in for reported sexual assault of teen at Concord library

A man turned himself in after warrants were issued for his arrest following a reported sexual assault a 15-year-old at a Concord library, according to the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office. 

Larry Herman Barrino, 32, was taken into custody on Tuesday, Nov. 27 by Union County deputies. He is accused of assaulting the girl at the Concord branch of the Cabarrus County Public Library, at 27 Union Street North, on November 17.

Deputies say a library employee called to report that a man had been seen outside around 10 a.m. talking to a teenage girl, who then went into a bathroom with him shortly before 1 p.m. 

Barrino was placed under a $50,000 bond and is awaiting transport to the Cabarrus County Detention Center.
